Inside Sobhita Dhulipala & Naga Chaitanya Haldi Celebration

Bride-to-be Sobhita Dhulipala opted for two stunning outfits for the haldi celebrations. She wore a vibrant red saree paired with a full-sleeve blouse for her first look, accessorised with a statement choker and a maang tikka. Later, she switched to a more traditional yellow outfit for the second part of the ceremony, perfectly embracing the festive vibe.

Sobhita Dhulipala's Godhuma Celebration

On October 21, Sobhita shared pictures from a pre-wedding ceremony.  The actor captioned her post, “Godhuma Raayi Pasupu danchatam 🦜🪷♥️ And so it begins!”  The phrase Sobhita used in her caption has deep meaning in the context of Telugu marriage traditions. In Telugu, “Godhuma” means wheat, “Raayi” means stone, and “Pasupu” refers to turmeric. “Danchatam” means crushing or grinding. The ritual involves the bride and groom grinding wheat, turmeric, and sometimes other ingredients together on a stone.

The ceremony took place in Visakhapatnam, but Naga Chaitanya wasn’t featured in the shared images. For the pre-wedding ritual, Sobhita wore a gorgeous peach-gold and green silk saree. Surrounded by her friends and family, she followed the customs, taking blessings from her elders and touching their feet. As part of the tradition, Sobhita ground the turmeric, symbolising her preparation for the next stage in life.

This act symbolises unity, cooperation, and the couple's shared responsibilities as they begin a new phase in their life together. It's a way of emphasising the teamwork needed in marriage and is one of the many rituals that mark the bond between bride and groom in a Telugu wedding.
